Prestige escapade in Corrèze

Day 1 :
Arrival at the 4-star hotel. Welcome drink, dinner and accommodation.

Day 2 :
Head for the Gorges de la Dordogne by the Chastang dam to reach the Xaintrie, a vast plateau overlooking the Dordogne valley. Possibility of stopping at Tours de Merle. In the heart of a preserved nature and in a green setting, the Tours de Merle are a jewel of medieval Limousin due to their construction on a steep site and their particular history in Xaintrie.
Lunch.
Stop in Auriac. Commented visit of the Sothys garden. The garde have plentiful space from French style garden to Japanese style garden and rose garden. Simultaneously ambiance garden, a set of small intimate closures with varied atmospheres, it guide you to a sensory escape.

Day 3 :
Depart for Aubazine (medieval village with a really beautiful Cistercian abbay where lived Coco Chanel during her adolescence).
Lunch.
Guided visit of Collonges la Rouge(classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France). Beautiful city built-up in red sandstone brim with an exceptional heritage castel, turret and bartizan house, 15th century church.
Return by Argentat via the road of Brancelles vineyard. Stop for a tasting.
Curemonte (classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France). Build on a rocky outcrop, this medieval village welcome you around its old noble house decorated with turret and badge and its three castles.
Beaulieu/Dordogne medieval city build in a meander in the Dordogne express a heritage build extraordinary. Dinner and accommodation in 4-star hotel.

Day 4 :
Travassac, visit guided of the slate mine of Corrèze. You will discover the print leave by the slate since the 17th century. On the site, a slate will show you the ancestral gestures which allow to transfom the stone in an unrivalled reputation slate mine.
Depart from Pompadour via Uzerche, Vézère’s gorge and Vigeois. Lunch.
Free stop in Pompadour, the city of la Marquise with its 16th century castle. Louis XV of France acquire it in 1745 and offer it to his favorite, the famous Marquise de Pompadour.
Return to the valley of Auvézère with a walk through Ségur-le-Château (classified as one of the most beautiful village in France). Dinner and accommodation in a 4-star hotel.
