The gastronomic route.
Day 1 : Périgueux market.
Restaurant and/or tastings suggestions;
Afternoon: Neuvic sur l’Isle – visit Domaine Huso, Neuvic caviar production
Visit the Walnut Oil mill at la Veyssière.
Overnight stay at Sorges.
Day 2 : Sorges
Visit the Truffle Ecomuseum.
Visit a duck breeding farm and a foie gras tasting. Restaurant suggestions
Afternoon : Sorges - Follow the footpath near the truffle plantations
Thiviers : Visit La Maison du Foie Gras.
Overnight stay in the Bergerac area.
Day 3 : Bergerac.
Introduction to the professions of Bergerac and Duras wine: presentation of the vineyard.
Monbazillac : visit the castle and wine tasting. Restaurant suggestions.
Afternoon: visit to one or two estate vineyards. Itinerary following the Dordogne Valley and its castles. Overnight stay in Vitrac.
Day 4 : A walk in the heart of Sarlat market (Wednesday and Saturday)
Restaurant and/or tastings suggestions
Afternoon: Carsac-Aillac – visit a goose rearing farm, Elevage du Bouyssou.
And Vialard farm with local produce: possibility to purchase local products.
