The programme :
10:00 : Visit the city of Périgueux. Passing through the ancient Gallo Roman Vesunna to the Medieval – Renaissance city and not forgetting the great edifices from the 18th and 19th centuries, Périgueux offers more than 2000 years of history with 39 buildings listed as « Monuments Historiques ». Saint Front Cathedral, a major stage on the St James Way walk, is located in one of the largest protected areas of France and has been a UNESCO heritage site since 1998.
12:00 : Lunch at the Moulin du Pont in Lisle
delight your eyes and your tastebuds on this delightful terrace overlooking the Dronne River and its dam.
14:30 : Visit the Chateau de Bordeilles.
This chateau along with Biron, Beynac and Mareuil is one of the four baronies of the Perigord. Consisting of two buildings: one medieval from the 13th century built by Géraud de Maulmont on an already existing site; the other a 16th century Renaissance palace. A listed Historical Monument since 1919.
17:00 : Boat trip in Brantôme
A magnificent 50 minute trip with commentary to discover The charm of « Venice of Périgord » and its rich architectural heritage from the river Dronne.
