A meeting with the troubadours, poets and musicians of the 12th and 13th centuries, and their places of life.

Programme 1: Viscount of LIMOGES
Visit the Medical Museum in Hautefort. Welcome with a coffee and presentation of the day with your troubadour.
Pesentation, historical part, talk and songs in front of the Hautefort castle
Lunch
Dalon Abbey, Sainte Trie, Born Forest will serve as scenery for your afternoon immersion with your storyteller musician.
To end your day, a snack, accompanied by the last songs, will be served in the chapel of the Museum of Medicine.
Programme 2: County of PÉRIGORD
Welcome with a coffee and presentation of the day with your troubadour.
Presentation, historical part, talk and songs in front of the Château de Mareuil.
Depart for La Tour BLanche.
Lunch
The Church of Our Lady of Ribérac will serve as a setting for your afternoon immersion with your storyteller musician. This 12th century church, former chapel of the castle (now disappeared) has a square bell tower, an apse vaulted in cul de four, a choir topped by a dome with pendants, paintings from the 17th century. The modern stained glass windows are signed Henri GUERIN.
To end your day, a snack, accompanied by the last songs, will be served nearby.

Walk in the company of a musician-storyteller, step by step, on a territory that has seen the birth of the greatest troubadours, come and follow in the footsteps of these poets-musicians of the 12th and 13th centuries, inventors of the art of the trobar. These poems, written and sung in the Occitan language, secular songs, are dedicated mainly to women.
