Day 1 :
An early morning visit to Château de Milandes (15th -19th century) and its French formal gardens, the Josephine Baker Museum and a falconry show. After lunch, a guided tour through the thousands of box trees in the Suspended Gardens of Marqueyssac at Vézac. From the belvedere high above the Dordogne River there is a spectacular panoramic view of the castles and La Roque Gageac, one of the « most beautiful villages of France », the embarkation point for a boat trip in a scow. Check-in, dinner and overnight in a 3-star hotel
Day 2 :
Cadiot Gardens : the ten colour-themed terraced gardens are spread over 2 hectares including a rose garden full of ancient varieties and a peony garden… is on the programme for the morning. Scrambled eggs with truffles are on the lunch menu at the truffle growers. The afternoon continues the hunt of the black diamond with a visit to a truffle plantation.
Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
Day 3 :
Overlooking the valley of the Vézère, Château de Losse has remained unchanged since the 16th century. Fall for the charm of this elegant Renaissance dwelling surrounded by ditches and ramparts as well as the « remarkable gardens ». After lunch the subconscious is awakened during a tour through the 6 ha contemporary creation “Les Jardins de l’Imaginaire”. The afternoon ends with a visit to Saint Léon sur Vézère, one of the “most beautiful villages of France” nestling on a bend of the river.

Day 4 :
The panoramic gardens of Limeuil offers an unsurpassed view of the merging of the Dordogne and Vézère Rivers. Discover contemporary themed spaces, a cosmopolitan arboretum, a landscaped park and interpretation pathways on the trees, landscapes and small boats. Lunch at a farmhouse inn is followed by a guided tour of the Jardins d’Eyrignac at Salignac Eyvigues, exceptional French style gardens essentially planted with beech, yew, boxwood and cypress that are considered one of the most beautiful gardens in France. The stay ends with a visit to the village of Saint Amand de Coly where the 12th century fortified Abbey is considered the most beautiful fortified church in the Perigord.
