Truffle day in Périgord
The programme :
10:30 : Guided tour of the Ecomuseum of the Truffle.
All the secrets of the tuber melanosporum, known as the Perigord truffle, are revealed: the formation of this mysterious mushroom, techniques of culture and harvesting, culinary suggestions and a tasting.
12:15 : Lunch in Sorges at « L’Auberge de la Truffe » à Sorges.
14:15 : Guided tour of St Jean de Cole : ». A guided tour of the medieval village, the 12th century bridge to the church, and the exterior of Marthonie castle, not forgetting the flowered streets and halftimbered houses.
16:15 : “La Maison du Foie Gras” in Thiviers + tasting:
Discover through playful themes all there is to know about ducks and geese from prehistoric times to the current day. Leave with new recipe ideas after a tasting.
