10:00 : Guided tour of Château des Milandes (15 –19th centuries) neo-Gothic architecture, period furniture, Coast of arms, stained glass windows, French style gardens, Josephine Baker Museum. Falconry show.
Lunch at the Chateau restaurant
Les Jardins de Marqueyssac à Vézac : dating from the late 18th century. The gardens of Marqueyssac are the work of several generations of the same family, owners of the estate since 1692. Their origins can be traced back to Le Notre.
On returning from Italy at the end of the 19th century Julien de Cerval embellished the gardens. He ordered the planting of tens of thousands of boxwood trees along the walkways. Sinuous paths, gazebos, rockeries, dry stone huts, places of rest and meditation…
Observe the castles and most beautiful villages of France from the look out point over the Dordogne River.
Boat trip in scow on the Dordogne River (1hour) from which you will see many of the castles. Return via La Roque Gageac: listed as the 3rd site in France
