The programme :
10:00 : Visit Parcot farm.
46 hectares listed amongst the most picturesque sites in the Dordogne and also a Historic Monument. The house, barn, Bread oven and the lake with its « pilou » (a traditional wooden sluice gate used for emptying the lake) are all listed.
11:45 : Cheese tasting at the Trappist Abbey at Echourgnac Essentially used for prayer, the Abbey was founded in 1868 by the monks from the Port du Salut Abbey in Mayenne and restored in 1923 by the Cistercian monks returning from exile in Spain. The cheese dairy has always been the principal source of revenue.
Lunch at restaurant Barthomé or Auberge de la Double
15:00 : Boat trip at Moulin de Duellas
A pleasurable guided trip lasting 1h30 passing through a manual lock unique in the Dordogne.
