Castles in the Vézère Valley

Its most beautiful villages, its 1001 castles, its remarkable gardens, its caves and ornate shelters, but also its rivers, forests, panoramic sites, all can be discovered from near or far.

The programme:
3.5km from Montignac-Lascaux on the banks of the Vézère River, a guided tour of the Chateau de Sauveboeuf, dating from Louis XIII period, invites you on a voyage through history from prehistoric times to the 17th century. Exceptional collections and old masters not forgetting the curiosity cabinet!

Lunch at Thonac.

Chateau de Losse is located between Montignac and Lascaux and overlooks the north bank of the Vézère River. This Historical Monument has not changed since the 16th century and you cannot fail to fall under the spell of this Renaissance building surrounded by moats and ramparts. Access the courtyard by crossing the bridge spanning the deep moat and pass through the fortified gatehouse (the largest of its kind in France). Lose yourself in the alleys of the remarkable Renaissance gardens.
